There was a direct interview process for the shortlisted candidates from all the eligible branches .
The company goes for interview directly of the shortlisted candidates after the PPT.
We will be presenting some questions that were asked to Electrical Engineer students during interview.
The interview was mainly a Tech. and HR combination, starting with HR and then going for Tech.
HR questions:
1- What is your academic profile i.e. 10, 12 marks and all.
2- Your native place?
3- Why do you want to join NTPC? What you have done apart from studies to join in NTPC?
4- What is your height and weight?
Tech:
1- What is 100% protection of generator? Why 100% is not used but 95% is generally used?
2- Draw the phasor diagram of alternator at lagging pf?
3- What is stiffness factor?
4- How the stiffness dependent on load angle?
5- “V” curve of alternator?
6-What is the largest value of the trans. line you have heard in INDIA? Where is it?
The interview of Electrical Engineers was really tough as compared to others.
Others had HR questions mainly. But EE had a mixture of both. So ‘electrical engineers’ it is better to be prepared.
